Bio
Julia is originally from Katowice, Poland. She studied chemistry at the University of Silesia in Katowice, where she obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, specialising in the synthesis of organic materials for optoelectronic applications. During her doctoral studies, her research focused on the functionalisation and characterisation of water-soluble fullerene nanomaterials for medical applications. As part of her PhD, she completed a research internship in the group of Prof. Matteo Calvaresi at the University of Bologna, whose research includes the study of fullerene–protein complexes. Julia joined the Delius Group at Ulm University in December 2025. Outside the lab, she trains in track and field.
