Bio
Shajiya was born and raised in Kerala, India. She began studying chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram. During her master’s studies, she carried out a research internship in the group of Prof. Subi J. George at JNCASR. She graduated with BS-MS dual degree in 2025, and completed her master thesis with Prof. Kana M. Sureshan on Synthesis of 2D polymer via topochemical reaction. Shajiya joined Delius lab in November 2025 with the aim of Synthesis of functional organic materials; optoelectronic spin materials for next generation quantum technologies. Outside the lab, she enjoys reading, playing badminton, and spending time with her family and friends.
