Bio
Yevhenii was born in Kyiv, Ukraine and did his Bachelor studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. During this time, he was working under the supervision of Dr. Roman Rodik synthesizing tetracationic amphiphilic calix[4]arenes with reactive groups. Then he moved to France to the University of Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier to do his Master studies (Double degree program in collaboration with the University of Kyiv). For his Master thesis he worked on asymmetric synthesis of iminosugars against Gaucher disease under the supervision of Dr. Cecile Dehoux (SPCMIB research group). After getting his MSc, Yevhenii moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he worked one year in the group of Prof. Dr. Nicolas Winssinger in the University of Geneva. Yevhenii joined the Delius group in July 2020. Outside of the lab, Yevhenii enjoys snowboarding in the winter and diving during the summer.
